The 2025 Breeders’ Cup, the final major Grade 1 Thoroughbred horse racing event of the year in North America, is finally here. The first day at Del Mar racetrack in Southern California will begin with five races on Friday.
The Breeders’ Cup event will commence with the high-stakes Juvenile Turf Sprint, a five-furlong race with a whopping $1 million purse. The evening will then unfold with a series of 2-year-old races, including the Juvenile Fillies, Juvenile Fillies Turf and Cup Juvenile and culminating with the Juvenile Turf race.
